Vujic, Norwegian ambassador discuss advancement of cooperation in judiciary

BELGRADE - Serbian Justice Minister Nenad Vujic met with Norwegian Ambassador to Belgrade Kristin Melsom on Thursday to discuss advancement of bilateral cooperation in the judiciary and rule of law.

The parties assessed possibilities for further strengthening of cooperation, especially in the context of Serbia's EU integration, a judicial reform and experience-sharing in digitalisation of the judiciary, the Justice Ministry said in a statement.

Vujic noted Serbia's commitment to continuing the reform processes in line with a revised action plan for Chapter 23 and a 2020-2025 strategy for development of the judiciary, as well as with a reform agenda aligned with the EU's Growth Plan.

For her part, Melsom said Norway stood ready to continue to support Serbia on the path to strengthening institutional capacities and alignment with European standards.
