Dacic, Austrian police chief discuss bilateral police cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic met with the director of the Austrian Federal Police, Michael Takacs, in Belgrade on Tuesday to discuss bilateral police cooperation.

Dacic and Takacs discussed cooperation in the fields of border police and FRONTEX engagement in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

They highlighted the significance of joint cooperation in the fight against irregular migration and agreed that there was space to advance the cooperation in that field.

Dacic thanked Austria for supporting Serbia in many areas of police cooperation, especially in the fight against irregular migration.
