Dacic: No cooperation with so-called Kosovo police, Serbia does not recognise so-called Kosovo

LONDON - Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday the fundamental essence of a Berlin Process conference of interior ministers in London was to establish better international operational cooperation and exchange of information in the fight against all forms of crime, but noted that there could be no operational cooperation with representatives of the so-called Kosovo police as Serbia did not recognise the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo.

"What I insisted on was that there can be no operational cooperation or exchange of operational data with representatives of the so-called Republic of Kosovo because we do not recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and, in keeping with documents and decisions accepted at the start of this process in 2014, participation in these conferences is status-neutral, with names and surnames, without any state symbols, and there are no flags in the room," Dacic said in an official statement.

He noted that cooperation with the so-called Kosovo police was only possible in line with signed agreements, through EULEX and Interpol, and that "there is no and there will be no direct cooperation whatsoever until our relations are resolved."

Dacic said he had pointed to the difficult position of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs and the terror against them, as well as to 702 ethnically motivated incidents registered in Kosovo-Metohija during Albin Kurti's rule.

"All that, including the terror, is being carried out by the interior ministry personnel and the police of the so-called Kosovo," Dacic said.

He said this year's conference had included three sessions, one of which had addressed migration and all problems related thereto, and noted that migration represented a major problem for the UK.

"The second topic was the fight against exploitation and violence against girls and women, and the third topic was the fight against organised crime," Dacic said.
