Brnabic receives French ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with French Ambassador to Belgrade Florence Ferrari on Friday.

The parties said Serbia-France bilateral relations were on a high level and that they were being advanced continuously in various fields as part of a strategic partnership.

Welcoming the new French ambassador, Brnabic wished her a successful tenure in Serbia, an official statement said.

She thanked France for its continuous support for Serbia's EU path, especially in the context of opening Cluster 3 in the accession talks.

Brnabic noted that Serbia was fully committed to carrying out reform activities bringing Serbia closer to EU membership, and said she believed Serbia-France cooperation would be continued in the spirit of mutual trust, understanding and partnership.

She also noted that, as an envoy of the president of Serbia, she would attend the Paris Peace Forum on October 29-30, which is another confirmation of the close ties and intensive political dialogue between Serbia and France, the statement said.
