BELGRADE - Serbian MPs on Friday passed amendments to the Law on the Unified Electoral Roll, under which a commission will be set up to revise the electoral roll.

A hundred and thirty-three of 170 MPs in attendance voted for, 26 voted against, while 11 abstained.

The amendments are a result of parliamentary dialogue on improvement of electoral conditions, launched in April 2024 based on reports by OSCE and ODIHR election observation missions in Serbia.

The dialogue was conducted in line with the first priority recommendation from ODIHR's final report on early parliamentary elections held on December 17, 2023.

The establishment of the commission was proposed by opposition MPs.
