PANCEVO - The NIS oil refinery in Pancevo has still not halted operations and continues to operate in hot circulation mode on Tuesday, Tanjug learns.
NIS, Serbia's Russian-majority owned oil company that is under US sanctions, has still not received a new operating licence from the US Department of the Treasury.
A decision on whether the refinery will officially halt operations or keep operating for a short period of time is expected to be made on Tuesday.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is holding a meeting with the teams in charge of energy security and stability in the country.
For the time being, banks continue to carry out payment transactions with NIS and the company's petrol stations are well supplied.
