VIENNA - The level of Serbia-France relations is exceptionally high and cooperation in various areas continues to advance, Serbian FM Marko Djuric said at a meeting with French Minister for Europe Benjamin Haddad on Thursday.
Djuric and Haddad spoke on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna.
"The Serbian FM emphasised that Serbia highly values France’s dedicated support on its European path, particularly with regard to the opening of Cluster 3. He stressed that the European Commission, in this year’s Progress Report, reiterated that Serbia is fully prepared to open this cluster — an assessment that further encourages Serbia’s efforts in the accession process," the Serbian MFA said in a statement.
Djuric and Haddad also discussed the current situation concerning Serbia's oil company NIS - which is under US sanctions due to its Russian-majority ownership - as well as efforts Belgrade is undertaking to overcome it.
