BRUSSELS - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic met on Wednesday in Brussels with Europol Executive Director Catherine De Bolle on the sidelines of the 2025 International Conference of the Global Alliance to Counter Migrant Smuggling.
They discussed plans for future cooperation, especially in the fight against serious and organised crime, migrant smuggling and terrorism.
Dacic commended the Serbian Interior Ministry's results achieved in collaboration with Europol in joint actions and highlighted the significance of support provided by Europol through various projects, the ministry said.
The parties said joint activities by Serbia and Europol were exceptionally important in the fight against international organised crime and terrorism, which they noted would contribute to a more efficient response to contemporary security challenges, aimed at maintaining security in the region and Europe.
De Bolle noted that Serbia was Europol's key partner in the Western Balkans, adding that international experience-sharing and knowledge dissemination was an important step in continued constructive international police cooperation.
Dacic thanked De Bolle for the exceptional cooperation and efficient communication to date and invited her to visit Serbia.
