KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Srpska lista leader Zlatan Elek said on Sunday evening that, according to preliminary results of early elections for the Kosovo-Metohija provincial assembly in Pristina, the party had won all seats allocated to Serbs.

At a press conference in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, Elek thanked the Kosovo-Metohija Serbs for showing unity and supporting Serbia and Srpska lista.

He said Srpska lista had won 90.06 pct of votes in Serb communities in Kosovo-Metohija.

"Compared to February, Srpska lista won 3,000 more votes," Elek said.

He said that, in Serb-majority municipalities and Serb communities within ethnic Albanian-majority municipalities, Srpska lista had won 41,850 votes, while Nenad Rasic's Freedom, Justice and Survival Party had won 3,840.

"According to these results, all ten seats are in the hands of Srpska lista," Elek said, adding that, following the experience from February, when "Albin Kurti helped Rasic glean more votes", he could not say for certain the situation would remain the same once the central electoral commission in Pristina released the final results.

"That is why I said these are preliminary results," Elek said.
