BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Friday Pristina was sabotaging an investigation into the murder of Kosovo-Metohija Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic and that, as many as eight years after the murder, there was no information on who was behind it.

"Eight years have passed since the brutal murder of Oliver Ivanovic, eight years without justice, eight years without information on who organised, who ordered and who committed that murder. For eight years, Pristina has been sabotaging the path to justice, or any kind of significant or sensible investigation," Brnabic said after a memorial service for Ivanovic, held at the Church of St Sava in Belgrade.

"Like we say every year, we will continue to insist on justice. Justice is attainable - sometimes it is extremely slow, but it is always attainable. We will keep insisting on those who ordered, those who organised and those who committed Oliver Ivanovic's murder being found," Brnabic said.

"The very fact Pristina is the one sabotaging the investigation and not sharing any information says that the murderer is not of Serb ethnicity, because we all know all the things Pristina is behind and what their values are. If they suspected in any way that anyone of Serb ethnicity was behind Oliver Ivanovic's murder, those people would have been charged a long time ago, and they (Pristina) would show the evidence. Therefore, Pristina is hiding someone else, but justice will definitely become known. We will continue to insist on justice," Brnabic said.

Ivanovic, leader of the Serbia, Democracy and Justice civic initiative, was shot dead outside his party's office in the north of Kosovska Mitrovica on January 16, 2018.
