BELGRADE- Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Monday extended condolences to Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez, King Felipe VI and the people of Spain over Sunday's deadly railway accident in southern Spain that killed dozens of people.
"I have received with deep sorrow the news of the tragic railway accident in Spain, in which a large number of people have lost their lives. I extend my sincere condolences to PM Pedro Sanchez and King Felipe VI, and express my solidarity with the people of Spain in these difficult moments. I wish the injured a swift recovery," Vucic posted on X.
According to the latest information, at least 39 people were killed and at least 73 others were injured - including 24 seriously - after two trains collided and derailed in the city of Adamuz in the southern Spanish province of Andalusia.
Serbian PM Djuro Macut and FM Marko Djuric have also extended condolences.
