BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament on Wednesday passed amendments to a set of judicial laws, proposed by Serbian Progressive Party MP Ugljesa Mrdic.
The MPs passed a law on amendments to the law on the seats and areas of courts and public prosecutors' offices, a law on amendments to the law on the High Prosecutorial Council, a law on amendments to the law on the organisation and competences of state authorities for the fight against high-technology crime, a law on amendments to the law on the public prosecutors' offices and a bill amending the law on judges.
Earlier, Mrdic said passing the amendments would make the judiciary more efficient and that it was the first step to returning a hijacked judicial system to the state and the people.
