BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Tuesday in Belgrade with President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmalin, who is on a two-day official visit to Serbia.
The meeting of the two presidents at the Palace of Serbia began shortly after 10 am.
The tete-a-tete meeting was followed by a plenary session of Serbian and Swiss delegations, headed by Vucic and Parmelin.
Vucic and Parmelin will also attend the signing of an agreement on a Swiss-Serbian innovation programme and speak to reporters at 11.30 am.
Earlier, Parmelin was welcomed at a guard-of-honour ceremony outside the Palace of Serbia.
The Swiss federal authorities have announced that the 110th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries would be marked during Parmelin's visit.
They said Parmelin would also speak with Serbian PM Djuro Macut, visit a science and technology park supported by Switzerland and meet with business leaders from both countries.
