BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday the confirmation of US participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade was important news for Serbia and a signal of respect and good bilateral relations between the two countries.
"It is a big signal of respect and good bilateral relations and absolutely an opportunity to advance further the bilateral relations between the US and Serbia. But it is also a signal to all other countries around the world how important EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, and Serbia, is. I believe a series of official signings of contracts on participation in the EXPO will now follow," Brnabic told Pink TV.
She said talks with CERN - one of the world's leading scientific and research laboratories - about it having a booth at the EXPO were being finalised.
Brnabic said she believed the Belgrade EXPO would be the world's biggest event in 2027.
"I absolutely think we will present Serbia in the best possible way, and that it will go down in history as one of the best EXPOs ever," she added.
