PRISTINA - A Pristina-based so-called special prosecutor's office on Monday indicted five Serbs in absentia on suspicion of the criminal offence of a war crime against civilians in Kosovo Polje, Kosovo-Metohija, during the 1999 conflict in the province.

Identifying the indictees with the initials P N, Z D, I I, S M and J D, the so-called prosecutor's office said that, as members of the Serbian police, they had allegedly committed war crimes against five civilians in Kosovo Polje on May 6, 1999.
