HELSINKI - Serbian FM Marko Djuric met on Tuesday in Helsinki with Finnish FM Elina Valtonen to discuss advancement of bilateral relations, Serbia's EU perspective and current regional and international affairs.
After hosting Valtonen in Belgrade in September 2024, Djuric is on a return visit to Finland.
The two FMs held a tete-a-tete meeting that was followed by discussions between Serbian and Finnish delegations.
The parties agreed that intensive dynamics of meetings and political contacts in the past two years had created a positive impetus for Serbia-Finland relations and helped to further strengthen mutual trust and cooperation.
They also discussed possibilities for further advancement of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, devoting special attention to Serbia's EU perspective and the steps it is taking on the path to EU membership.
The discussion topics also included current foreign policy affairs and security issues, Serbia-EU relations and the situation in the Western Balkans.
