Agreement signed on cooperation between general secretariats of Serbian, UAE parliaments

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic and the speaker of the UAE Federal National Council Saqr Ghobash signed on Wednesday in Belgrade a joint statement and the general secretariats of the two parliaments also signed an agreement on cooperation.

At a ceremony in the parliament building, also attended by Brnabic and Ghobash, the agreement was signed by Deputy Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Dimitrijevic and Secretary General of the UAE Federal National Council Omar Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi.

This is the first time the general secretariat of the Serbian parliament has signed an agreement on cooperation with its equivalent from another country.

Ghobash, who is on a several-day official visit to Serbia, held a meeting with Brnabic earlier in the day and addressed a third special sitting of the Serbian parliament.

He was received by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday.
