Vucic: Serbia remains committed to building partnership with Georgia

TBILISI  - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who is on a three-day visit to Georgia, met on Monday in Tbilisi with President Mikheil Kavelashvili to discuss crucial issues for the relations between the two countries, noting that Serbia remained committed to building a partnership based on trust, mutual support and respect for the principles of international law and the territorial integrity of states.

In an Instagram post, Vucic wrote that he was grateful for a cordial welcome and hospitality given by Kavelashvili and the people of Georgia.

"Meetings like these represent a confirmation of the sincere friendship and the mutual respect connecting our two countries. We had an open and substantial discussion about all issues that are crucial for our bilateral relations, as well as about current regional and global challenges," Vucic noted.

He added that special attention had been devoted to economic relations and opportunities to boost bilateral trade, strengthen business ties and advance cooperation in tourism, transport, energy and new technologies.

Vucic noted that Serbia attached great significance to the relations with Georgia and remained committed to building a partnership based on trust, mutual support and respect for the principles of international law and the territorial integrity of states.

"I am confident that today's discussions will lend an additional impetus to overall Serbia-Georgia relations and contribute to even stronger cooperation between our states and nations in the coming years," Vucic posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account. (end) rd

Vucic meets with Georgia's Kavelashvili in Tbilisi

TBILISI - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi on Monday. Earlier,

Vucic, who is on a three-day visit to Georgia, was received with military honours at a red carpet ceremony.

The two presidents last met in December 2025 in Belgrade during Kavelashvili's first official visit to Serbia.

A Serbian delegation accompanying Vucic also includes Agriculture Minister Dragan Glamocic and Minister of Internal and External Trade Jagoda Lazarevic.

Vucic arrives in Tbilisi, to meet with Kavelashvili

TBILISI - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his wife Tamara arrived in Tbilisi on Monday.

At the Tbilisi airport, they were welcomed by Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Miriam Kvrivishvili.

During an official visit to Georgia, Vucic will meet with President Mikheil Kavelashvili, PM Irakli Kobahidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Shio III.

Vucic will also visit the Kakheti region and the St George Monastery in Alaverdi.

A Serbian delegation accompanying Vucic also includes Agriculture Minister Dragan Glamocic and Minister of Internal and External Trade Jagoda Lazarevic.

Vucic, who will be in Georgia until Wednesday, is on his first official visit to the country. Kavelashvili paid his first official visit to Serbia in December last year.
