Macut continues consultations with government ministers on plans for coming period

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut on Thursday continued consultations with the ministers of the interior, culture, education, information and telecommunications, public administration, justice and local self-government on the departments' plans for the coming period.
"At a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic, it was stated that it is necessary to strengthen traffic police control, given the number of traffic accidents and victims, especially among the younger population," a government statement said.
"Minister of Justice Nenad Vujic announced that new buildings of the Judicial Academy in Belgrade and buildings of judicial bodies in Novi Sad will be opened in the coming period, and that new legal provisions regarding the Judicial Academy and lobbying have been prepared.
As stated by the Minister of Justice, the European Commission’s opinion on the set of laws from the Reform Agenda is pending.
At a meeting with Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic, Macut emphasised the need to establish the days of Nikola Tesla, Milutin Milankovic and Mihajlo Pupin, so that the state of Serbia can pay tribute to the greats of our science in this way as well.
In a conversation with Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stankovic, it was agreed to form a working group to improve the curriculum in secondary schools, and to focus on the results of enrolment at universities in Serbia.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Telecommunications Boris Bratina stressed the importance of the Roam Like at Home project.
The Prime Minister discussed with Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Snezana Paunovic activities aimed at strengthening the efficiency and accessibility of services to citizens and further development of single administrative points," the statement also said.
