BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Wednesday in Belgrade with Ohio National Guard Maj-Gen Matthew Woodruff to inform him in detail of rising tensions in Kosovo-Metohija in the past several days, voicing concern over the position and the security of Serbs in the province.
"I highlighted the significance of a responsible approach by KFOR and all relevant actors in preservation of peace and stability," Vucic posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
He noted that the discussion with Woodruff had also addressed plans and priorities for continued activities as part of a State Partnership Programme, the situation in the region and ways to advance further the cooperation between Serbia and Ohio, based on years-long trust and partnership.
"Serbia highly appreciates the cooperation with the Ohio National Guard and our partnership, which we have been building over the years through numerous joint activities and contacts. I believe we will continue to strengthen and expand it in the future, too, contributing to better understanding and strengthening of the relations between Serbia and the United States of America," Vucic wrote in the post.
