BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic received a farewell visit from the UK's Ambassador to Belgrade Sian MacLeod on Monday.
Brnabic noted that her government was focusing on science, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, innovation and biotech and added that intensive works were also underway to build science and technology parks across the country.
She said the fields represented the future and had a direct impact on Serbia's economic growth and stability.
MacLeod said Serbia-UK economic cooperation had seen dynamic development in the past several years and that she had witnessed accelerated economic development in Serbia during her four-year term in the country.
Brnabic said the UK had been Serbia's third-largest services trade partner in 2022 and that she was confident trade in sophisticated economic sectors was certain to grow in the period to come.
Brnabic and MacLeod also discussed the present situation in Kosovo-Metohija and said peace and stability in the region were crucial for economic growth and development.
