BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqil al-Khateeb on Tuesday to discuss topics of interest to both countries and noted that Serbia was ready to develop comprehensive cooperation with Saudi Arabia.

"Serbia sees Saudi Arabia as a friendly country and a potentially important partner with which it this year marks ten years since the establishment of diplomatic ties," a government statement quoted Brnabic as saying.

The parties agreed that economic exchange held major potential and said a MoU signed by the two countries earlier in the day would contribute to it.

They welcomed the establishment of a Serbia-Saudi Arabia business council and noted that cooperation between businesspeople from the two countries held great potential.

In that regard, Brnabic highlighted tourism, agriculture, energy, biotech and the IT sector.

The meeting was also attended by Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Tomislav Momirovic and Minister of Tourism and Youth Husein Memic, the statement said.
