BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said during a meeting with the UK's special Western Balkans envoy Stuart Peach in Belgrade on Wednesday that fulfilment of agreed obligations was a precondition for a continuation of the process of normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations.
She said this was the only way of overcoming outstanding issues and reaching a mutually acceptable solution, the Serbian government said in a statement.
Brnabic said preservation of peace and stability was Belgrade's fundamental priority.
She said Serbia was committed to continue to strengthen its cooperation with the UK and highlighted the importance of economic cooperation, noting that the volume of bilateral services trade had exceeded 1.3 bln euros in 2022.
She especially noted the importance that deepening the cooperation in education, culture, science, the IT sector and energy has for bilateral relations.
Brnabic said regional cooperation was one of Serbia's foreign policy priorities and that the country was working intensively on it.
Peach said the UK was committed to preservation of peace and progress in the region and that London supported the Berlin Process and all other initiatives that helped to advance concrete cooperation in the region.
The meeting was also attended by the UK's Ambassador to Belgrade Edward Ferguson.
