Gasic meets with UK's ambassador to Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic met with the UK's new Ambassador to Serbia Edward Ferguson on Tuesday and said he hoped bilateral cooperation in interior affairs would be continued during the diplomat's tenure in Belgrade.

Gasic said there was space for a more intensive partnership in the fight against organised crime and in curbing irregular migration and other forms of crime, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.

Ferguson thanked Gasic for the good cooperation and welcomed a recent successful campaign aimed at getting Serbians to surrender unregistered arms.
