Lajcak discusses Western Balkans with Escobar, Chollet

NEW YORK - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and other Western Balkan issues Miroslav Lajcak said on Tuesday he and US special Western Balkans envoy Gabriel Escobar and State Department Counsellor Derek Chollet shared the same reading of the situation in the region and were on the same line on the way forward.

"Had dinner among good friends in New York with Department of State Counsellor Derek Chollet and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Escobar," Lajcak wrote in a post on the social media network X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Always useful to reconfirm that we share the same reading of the situation in the Western Balkans and are on the same line regarding the way forward," he noted.
