Dacic receives Norwegian ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic received Norway's newly-appointed Ambassador to Belgrade Kristin Melsom on Thursday to discuss bilateral cooperation and the security situation in Kosovo-Metohija.

Welcoming Melsom, Dacic wished her success in her ambassadorial tenure in Serbia, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The parties agreed that bilateral relations were very good and said they were pleased with the intensifying political dialogue at high and the highest level, and expressed readiness to tap the potential for deepening the cooperation, especially in the energy sector.

They also discussed the security situation in Kosovo-Metohija.

Dacic noted Serbia's commitment to preserving peace and stability, protection of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and a continuation of the EU-facilitated dialogue, the statement said.
