BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic on Tuesday met with Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, with whom he signed an agreement on employment of diplomatic representatives' family members on paid activities.

"This is a very important agreement, not only for the citizens, but also for the people serving in Azerbaijan or here in Serbia who must solve their life problems," Dacic told reporters after the signing of the agreement.

Dacic also noted that an agreement with Azerbaijan on mutual abolition of visas for holders of standard passports had taken effect recently and said it was "another very clear indicator of the extremely friendly relations between the two countries."

"I must note that the relations between our two countries and our two peoples are on an extremely high level and based not only on traditionally friendly ties, mutual trust and respect of the fundamental principles of international law, but also on the very good personal and friendly relationship between our two leaders, President (Ilham) Aliyev and President (Aleksandar) Vucic," Dacic said.

Dacic thanked Azerbaijan for the principled position and full international support to Serbia in its fight to preserve its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

He also noted that Serbia's position on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan remained unchanged.

"We are also glad that a record-high value of goods trade of nearly 100 mln dollars was registered in the first nine months of this year, which is exceptional growth. We think the cooperation can and should grow in the energy sector and the agriculture and food sector. We are interested in more numerous and more frequent contacts between our businesspeople and in seeking common economic interests," Dacic said.

He also said many Azerbaijani companies were working successfully in Serbia on carrying out major infrastructure projects of strategic interest.
