BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the UK's special Western Balkans envoy Stuart Peach on Tuesday to inform him of Serbia's positions regarding the present situation in the region and, in particular, Kosovo-Metohija.
"I noted that, as always before, Serbia remains sincerely committed to maintaining peace in the region, as testified by the numerous regional connectivity initiatives launched by our country," Vucic wrote in a post on the buducnsotsrbijeav Instagram account.
Vucic noted that, for Serbia, the crucial issues were the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities as a commitment undertaken and accepted by Pristina under international agreements and the safety of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, for which he said he expected the UK's full support.
Vucic said that, during the conversation with Peach, he had pointed to an increasing number of incidents and unilateral moves by Pristina that posed a substantial threat to the safety and survival of Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo-Metohija.
