BELGRADE - Today, on St Vitus's Day, Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija are in their ancestral homes and stand with their church and their state, and they have survived and will survive even though the global power wielders have tried to change that reality, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Friday.
"Our duty is to preserve peace and refrain from any unilateral reaction as (Pristina's PM Albin) Kurti exclusively wants provocations," Petkovic told the RTS.
Commenting on being banned from entering Kosovo-Metohija, Petkovic said Pristina was violating all agreements and that moves such as the ban were aimed at "banishing the state of Serbia."
He announced the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina would be continued at chief negotiators level in Brussels next week, but noted that he expected nothing from that meeting.
