Brnabic meets with Bas

BERLIN - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with Bundestag President Barbel Bas in Berlin on Thursday, noting that Serbia saw Germany as one of its most significant partners.

"The most important meeting during my visit to Germany is the meeting with Bundestag President Barbel Bas. I am glad to have had a good, open and sincere discussion about our European integration, the reform process and rule of law, as well as the current situation regarding relations in the Western Balkan region. We see Germany as one of our most significant partners with which we want to work on maintaining regional stability," Brnabic wrote in an Instagram post.

She said the meeting with Bas had addressed various ways of establishing closer cooperation between the two parliaments.

Brnabic added that she had wrapped up the visit to Berlin with a meeting with Jens Spahn, a CDU representative in the Bundestag.
