Vucic receives Hollywood actress Lolita Davidovich in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Hollywood actress Lolita Davidovich and her husband, celebrated film director and screenwriter Ron Shelton, in Belgrade on Monday.

Davidovich and Shelton are in Serbia for the 1st National Film and Television Festival, hosted by film director Predrag Gaga Antonijevic on Mt Zlatibor.

Vucic and Davidovich discussed her roots and her successful Hollywood career, as well as the potential for shooting films and television series in Serbia and projects positioning Serbia more strongly on the map of world cinema.

"In a pleasant atmosphere, over coffee and doughnuts, we discussed her roots and her successful Hollywood career, the potential for shooting films and series in Serbia, cooperation with our authors, connecting with the diaspora through film and new projects positioning Serbia more and more strongly on the map of world cinema," Vucic said.

He thanked Antonijevic for his vision and energy and noted that festivals like his promoted Serbia and opened the door to international cooperation.

"The state will continue to support culture and the film industry to make Serbia a dependable home to great stories and encounters that inspire," Vucic noted.
