Education minister resigns following Belgrade school massacre

BELGRADE - Serbian Education Minister Branko Ruzic tendered his irrevocable resignation on Sunday in the wake of last week's school massacre in Belgrade.

In a letter to PM Ana Brnabic, Ruzic once again extended his deepest condolences to the families of those killed.

"The dramatic images of events from the school, the tears shed as I was extending my condolences to the inconsolable parents of the children killed will be a mark on my soul for as long as I live," Ruzic wrote.
