Danilovic loses in Rouen final

ROUEN - Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovic lost 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) to Ukrainian Elina Svitolina in the final of the Rouen WTA tournament on Sunday.

World number 18 Svitolina won after slightly under two hours of play.

Qualifying for the final brought Danilovic a career-high WTA ranking of number 34.

Earlier in the day, Serbian Aleksandra Krunic and American Sabrina Santamaria won the women's doubles event at the tournament by defeating the Czech-Russian duo of Linda Noskova and Irina Khromacheva 6-0, 6-4 in the final.
