BELGRADE - Serbian runner-up football champions Partizan Belgrade lost to Scottish side Hibernian 2-0 at home in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round on Thursday evening.
Partizan were down to ten men from the 34th minute, when Vukasin Djurdjevic was sent off after picking up a second yellow card.
Martin Boyle netted from close range after a corner in the 40th minute to put the visitors in front and converted a VAR penalty in the 67th minute to make it 2-0.
The return leg in Edinburgh is scheduled for next Thursday.
The winner of the tie will face AEK Larnaca or Legia Warsaw in the UEFA Conference League playoffs.
