Pesic: I never resign, we will hold discussions by end of month

BELGRADE - "I never resign. Why would I? I came to do what I have done, and I have done it, I accepted this when no one wanted to," head coach of the Serbia men's national basketball team Svetislav Pesic said on Sunday after returning to Belgrade following his team's shock 92-86 defeat to Finland in the EuroBasket 2025 round of 16 on Saturday.

"Also, after the Olympic Games, no one wanted to (be head coach), I accepted that because I felt responsible towards the players. We have that agreement until the end of September. We will sit down and talk. I am always there, I am available for all kinds of assistance. Resignations? This is not football, this is basketball, no resignations are tendered," Pesic told reporters at the Nikola Tesla Airport.
