LESKOVAC - The Serbia men's national football team beat Latvia 2-1 at home in its last FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying game on Sunday evening.
At the Dubocica Stadium in Leskovac, Vladislavs Gustovkis put Latvia in front in the 12th minute, but substitutes Aleksandar Katai and Aleksandar Stankovic scored their first goals for Serbia in the 49th and the 60th minute, respectively, to turn the game around and hand Veljko Paunovic his first win as head coach.
In the other Group K match, England defeated Albania 2-0 away, finishing on top of the group table with 24 points.
Albania are in second place with 14 points and are followed by Serbia with 13, Latvia with five points and Andorra with one point.
England have secured a World Cup berth, while Albania will to go to the play-offs.
