Zeleznicar lose 1-0 at home to Braga in UEFA Conference League qualifiers

PANCEVO - Serbian side Zeleznicar Pancevo lost 1-0 at home to Portuguese powerhouse Braga in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League second qualifying round match on Wednesday evening.

In the 67th minute, the visitor's captain Ricardo Orta converted a penalty kick awarded after a foul on Victor Gomez by Zeleznicar goalkeeper Zoran Popovic.

In a historic, first-ever European match for the Pancevo club, Zeleznicar left a very good impression and had several chances to equalise in the final stages of the game, but Braga goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek produced a series of excellent saves.

The return leg in Braga is scheduled for next Thursday.
