Red Star v FMP, Partizan v Hercegovac in Serbian basketball cup

BELGRADE - Title holders Red Star Belgrade were on Tuesday drawn to play FMP in the quarter-finals of Serbia's Radivoj Korac basketball cup, with arch-rivals Partizan to face Hercegovac Gajdobra, who will make their first-ever appearance in the competition.

The other two quarter-final games are Borac Cacak v Cacak 94 and Mega v Vojvodina Novi Sad.

A Red Star v Partizan derby is only possible in the final - if they defeat FMP, Red Star will face one of the Cacak-based outfits in the semi-finals, while Partizan will play Mega or Vojvodina in case they beat Hercegovac.

The February 14-17 Radivoj Korac Cup final tournament will again be played in Nis, which will host the event for the 19th time.

The draw ceremony was held in Belgrade.

Before the ceremony, a minute of silence was observed for the recently deceased Serbian basketball coach Dejan Milojevic.
