BELGRADE - As many as 802 entrepreneurs have used a tax relief measure for startups in the past five months, over 3,550 seasonal workers have been registered through a web portal and a mobile application in just three months, with nearly 200,000 electronic requests for entry to cadastres made over a period of nine months, the 13th annual assembly of Serbia's National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) was told Thursday.

Every day, five entrepreneurs launch legal businesses in Serbia, 40 people get hired and duly registered for seasonal work and as many as 730 requests are made electronically for entry to cadastres, said the participants of the assembly meeting.

The figures illustrate the success of introducing tax incentives for startups, simplifying procedures for hiring seasonal workers and the development of an electronic registration system for cadastres, which is the biggest improvement in the business environment in 2018, they said.
