BELGRADE - Serbian Minister for Innovations and Technological Development Nenad Popovic on Tuesday opened the 63rd Belgrade international fair of technology and technical achievements, which will bring together over 600 direct and indirect exhibitors from Serbia and abroad and other participants from more than 30 countries over the course of the next three days.

Serbia needs a modern digital industry based on the Industry 4.0 platform to continue its strong economic growth, Popovic said.

Innovative SMEs are the backbone of the modern economy, he added.

Development of SMEs with an advanced innovative and digital component is a particular opportunity for Serbia, he said.
