Average Serbian net salary in April 54,645 dinars, 8 pct up

The average April 2019 net salary in Serbia was 54,645 dinars - 11.3 pct up in nominal terms and 8 pct up in real terms compared to the same period last year, the Serbian national statistical office RZS said Tuesday.

BELGRADE - The average April 2019 net salary in Serbia was 54,645 dinars - 11.3 pct up in nominal terms and 8 pct up in real terms compared to the same period last year, the Serbian national statistical office RZS said Tuesday.

The average April gross salary was 75,441 dinars, rising 11.1 pct in nominal terms and 7.8 pct in real terms y-o-y.

The median net salary in April was 41,773 dinars, meaning that 50 pct of the employed population received salaries up to that amount.

The average January-April gross salary was 74,462 dinars, with the average net salary at 53,967 dinars.

In the first four months of the year, gross salaries rose 9.7 pct in nominal terms and 6.9 pct in real terms y-o-y, while net salaries grew 9.9 pct in nominal terms and 7.1 pct in real terms, the RZS said in a press release.
