BELGRADE - The Serbian government's strategic partnership with the French Vinci Group is significant for future development of air traffic in Serbia, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said at a meeting with Vinci Group CEO Xavier Huillard Tuesday.

A Vinci concession for Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport is the first major concession in Serbia and one of the most significant projects, whose completion was one of last year's highlights, a government statement quoted Brnabic as saying.

"The strategic partnership of the Serbian government with Vinci Group, as well as the partnerships with Etihad and MTU, is crucial for future development of air traffic in Serbia," Brnabic said.

Huillard said the company's aims were development of traffic and continued improvement of the quality of service for all passengers at the Belgrade airport.

Under a 25-year concession deal worth approx. 1.5 bln euros, Vinci took over operations at the Nikola Tesla Airport in 2018.
