BELGRADE - The number of cruise ship dockings at international passenger terminals in Serbia hit a record 1,500 on November 4, the Serbian Port Governance Agency has announced.

The number is 30 pct higher compared to 2018 and is expected to grow further by the end of the nautical season, extended due to favourable weather conditions.

Belgrade is the top destination for cruise ships, with the number of passengers who disembarked in the Serbian capital expected to reach 100,000 this year, the agency said, noting that Belgrade was an unmissable destination on the Danube, alongside Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava.

Besides Belgrade, Novi Sad, Donji Milanovac and Golubac were the most frequent destinations for cruise ships in Serbia.
