August 2024 most successful month ever for Air Serbia

BELGRADE - In August 2024, Air Serbia carried a total of 558,524 passengers on scheduled and charter flights, which was a 4.7 pct increase y-o-y.

"The company operated 5,278 flights from all three international airports in Serbia, up 3.6 pct compared to August 2023. This is Air Serbia’s best result in terms of passengers carried and flights operated in a single month since the national airline started operating under its current name," an Air Serbia statement said.

"We recently carried our third millionth passenger this year. This result was accomplished 15 days earlier compared to the last record-setting year. After our busiest July, now comes August, during which we broke all the current records in terms of passengers carried and operated flights.

The success motivates us to keep improving our services and expanding our network of destinations.

As early as September 19, we will be renewing our flights to Nice, and on September 30 we will inaugurate the scheduled flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou", Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek said.

Air Serbia’s most popular regional destinations in August were Tivat and Podgorica.

In Western Europe, its most popular destinations were Zurich, Paris, Frankfurt and Barcelona.

The most popular Euro-Mediterranean destinations were Istanbul, Larnaca and Athens, and in North America, there was a high demand for flights to New York, the statement said.
