MOSCOW - Serbia's Minister without portfolio Nenad Popovic said on Tuesday in Moscow Serbia would continue to have the cheapest gas price in Europe in the coming months.
Popovic made the announcement after a meeting with Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, with whom he co-chairs a Serbia-Russia inter-governmental committee on trade, economic and scientific and technical cooperation.
He noted that Russian gas would be available to Serbian citizens and businesses at the most favourable price.
"That is a result of the excellent relations between the two states but, above all, of the excellent relationship between Russian President Vladimir Putin and our president, Aleksandar Vucic," Popovic said.
He said the meeting with Reshetnikov had also addressed other matters that had to do with Serbia-Russia trade relations and that the results of the meeting were excellent.
"Also, as regards all matters related to other economic sectors, we have a positive dynamics of growth, from agriculture to machine building and new technologies and innovation," the minister said.
Popovic said he and Reshetnikov had agreed that the committee hold its next session in Belgrade as soon as possible, likely in the spring of this year.
