BELGRADE - During an official visit to Serbia, Slovakia's EXPO 2027 Commissioner General Lukas Parizak and Slovakia Travel Director General Matej Fekete have presented the latest information on preparations for setting up a Slovakia booth at the specialised EXPO, the EXPO 2027 Belgrade company announced on Wednesday.
Representatives of a Slovak delegation met with Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Jagoda Lazarevic, who is also the Serbian government's general commissioner for EXPO 2027.
The meeting also addressed the next phases of project implementation, including completing the turnover of design documentation, acquisition of a construction permit, a turnover of the pavilion and the start of construction works.
The Slovak side also highlighted the increasingly significant business and tourism dimension of its EXPO 2027 participation.
The central symbol of the pavilion is the Tree of Opportunities - an interactive installation designed to enable visitors to get to know Slovakia through topics such as culture, tourism, sport, gastronomy, business and innovation.
Parizek said the Tree of Opportunities reflected the way its creators wanted visitors to experience Slovakia at EXPO 2027 - as a country of energy, creativity and numerous possibilities.
