Momirovic: Serbian inflation down to below 5 pct in February

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Tomislav Momirovic says February y-o-y inflation in Serbia will drop to below 5 pct.

Thanks to implementation of determined measures such as the Better Price campaign and a cap on prices of basic foodstuffs, February inflation will be down to below 5 pct from 16.2 pct in March last year, Momirovic said on an RTS talk show on Thursday evening.

"Through the Better Price campaign and a cap on prices of basic foodstuffs as well as other economic policy measures, we have managed to lower inflation to under 5 pct, which is a better-than-expected result," Momirovic said.
