Vucic speaks with Blinken

WASHINGTON - US State Secretary Antony Blinken spoke with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday, thanking him for his constructive engagement on a European proposal for normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations, the US Department of State said.

The parties agreed that regional stability is crucial for Serbia's European future, State Department spokesman Ned Price said.

Earlier, Vucic said he had had a phone conversation with Blinken about the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, Serbia's European path and Serbia-US bilateral ties.

"We exchanged views on the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, and I especially noted that peace and stability across the region and a secure economic future represent key goals for all people living in the Western Balkans," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile.
