BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric met with Kazakh Deputy PM and FM Murat Nurtleu in Belgrade on Tuesday, noting that the signing of a set of agreements on bilateral cooperation in most diverse areas lent additional strength to boosting overall Serbia-Kazakhstan relations.
Noting that he was pleased with meetings at the highest level, Djuric said that, historically, Serbia and Kazakhstan had faced similar challenges that made them geopolitically close today.
He noted that Serbia remained firmly committed to further development, advancement and deepening of overall cooperation with Kazakhstan, especially in the economy and defence, as well as in modern technologies and innovation.
Speaking about cooperation between the two MFAs, Djuric said direct ties between diplomatic academies must be strengthened in the period to come as well as that political dialogue between the ministries must be stepped up.
Djuric thanked Kazakhstan for supporting the preservation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and for its consistent position of non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo.
