Dacic receives Abu Dhabi Police director-general

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic met with Abu Dhabi Police Director-General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan in Belgrade on Monday to discuss advancement of cooperation between the two police forces.

Dacic noted that it was important that police cooperation was on par with the close bilateral relations and the successful cooperation between the two countries in all spheres, also helped by the personal friendship between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Looking back on the cooperation to date, Dacic noted that education and experience-sharing between police officers would further advance and strengthen the relations between the Serbian Interior Ministry and Abu Dhabi Police.

The parties agreed that stepping up cooperation in interior affairs and strengthening the capacities of the two police forces in response to any security challenges was in mutual interest of Serbia and the UAE, an official statement said.
